Announcement
The most important result of the Championship Meet was Ashland being awarded the Len Everett Award for Sportsmanship for Division I. This award is granted to the team who displays the best sportsmanship in each division during the regular season as determined by a vote of teams in their division. This is the eighth time Ashland has won the award, but the first time in over a decade. Thank you to our swimmers, parents, and officials for the roles they played in helping to maintain sportsmanship as our central value.
Ashland placed ninth out of 28 teams at the Championship Meet.
- Kate Balut broke the team record in 15/18 girls’ 50 breast.
- Casey Dingman won 15/18 boys’ 50 back, 100 fly, and 100 back for the varsity division.
- Molly McCall won 8/under girls’ 25 free for the JV division.
- Selah Mauney won 11/12 girls’ 100 free for the JV division.
- The following swimmers had Golden Meets at the Championship Meet: Caden Arnold, Casey Dingman, Duke Flanagan, Dalton Holcombe, Eloise McCall, Amelia Smith, and Lucas Swager.
